Solution: Verify cable connections and setup
Follow these steps to resolve the issue:
1, Check power and connection
- Ensure the scale is securely connected to the kiosk
- Verify that all cables are intact and properly inserted
2, Verify scale setup
- Confirm that the scale is set up correctly and ready for operation: the scale needs to be turned on as a first step, using the “On” button
- In some cases, the scale needs to be zeroed (default weight set to 0). Press the "ZERO" button (or follow the manufacturer's instructions: Brecknell, Mettler Toledo).
- Ensure that the scale is freestanding, and there are no objects (e.g. cables, or the kiosk itself) touching the scale, as it can prevent the scale going back to zero
- The scale should be level: remove the stainless top and check the level indicator bubble is in the middle of the circle. If needed, adjust the legs accordingly until the bubble is in the middle of the circle
